** WOW ** Every now and then we get a very special Campervan or Motorhome arrive at our Harbour Creek showrooms and the arrival of this Classic Westfalia Marco Polo is just one of those occasions!

These extremely rare examples were designed and built to the very highest of Westfalia’s standards, built during Westfalia’s ownership by Daimler Benz group, the Marco Polo was the flagship of  Mercedes V Class range.

All of these examples were built on the Luxury Viano chassis driven by the mighty 3.0L V6 diesel producing no less than 204hp, driving the rear wheels via the super smooth Mercedes Automatic gearbox. This supreme combination gives the Marco Polo more of a sporty car like drive than that of a campervan or the similarly compared Volkswagen California.

The equipment levels are as you might expect….extremely high. The layout is also one of the most versatile in its class, with the ability to position the rear double bench seat in any one of the 30+ positions along the slide floor tracks, or to remove it completely providing the largest cargo space of any compact pop top Campervan. You can quite literally carry a van full of camping, Watersports, mountain bikes etc… and still have the ability to sleep comfortably in the elevating roof. Even the Westfalia fridge module is designed to be removable so that if used as an alternative ‘every day’ vehicle, rear passengers can depart from either side of the van!

Up front we have 2x fully adjustable ‘Captains Chars’ with inbuilt swivels allowing these seats to face the lounge when parked up. The rear bench seat is fully electronic controlled meaning at the touch of a button you can convert from seating to an extremely comfortable flat double bed (no more pushing a shoving to make the bed up in here!)

The electric recline is also useful when relaxing of an evening, enabling you to create a comfy rear sofa which is infinitely adjustable to find your perfect seating or sleeping position.

The Galley is fully equipped with the proven Westfalia 12v compressor ‘top loading’ fridge, meaning that all of your food does not spill out every time you open the door! These fridges are also very efficient as heat rises the cold air becomes trapped in the base storage area, when you lift the lid it only the warmer air escaping and not the refrigerated cold air!

Beside this we have the 2 Burner gas hob and stainless steel sink, both covered by substantial hinged protective covers that double as worktops when closed.

Storage is provided by an array of cupboards, draws and lockers as well as a convenient boot space provided behind the double bench seat.

The elevating roof is one of Westfalia’s renowned designs, operating on simple yet effective gas struts, the fully breathable bellows are reinforced by in built ‘ribs’ preventing damage when the roof is lowered and reinforcing the bellows when elevated. There are two zip up ventilation windows with inbuilt mosquito nets being the breathable fabric, and privacy screening. The fold down double bed creates a sleeping space of double proportions and can easily accommodate 6’6” adults with ease.
